so apparantly there might be some truth to the story that the guy who tried to kill the pope in 1981 was saying. (he claimed that the bulgarian secret service offered to pay him to kill the pope) According to recently found east german documents the KGB ordered the Bulgarian Secret Service to kill the pope.
